The LIADA & MIADA Convention

The MISS-LOU Independent Dealer Convention was held last week at the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel in New Orleans, LA. Dealers from around Louisiana and Mississippi turned out for the festivities, dealer training, and the vendor exhibit.

Mississippi and Louisiana offered dealer-training seminars on Friday. In these seminars they discussed laws and regulations and new laws that were coming into effect in the future.

Many auctions and vendors were present to display their services and meet with dealers. There was a good turnout to the Mardi Gras party where a buffet was served and many dealers socialized. Saturday the association board meetings were held and it was followed by a dealer luncheon. Saturday night dealers dressed in their Sunday best and attended the Convention Grand Banquet.

All in all the 2008 Miss-Lou Convention was a huge success for vendors and dealers. Dealers were exposed to many new services and were able to meet others dealers around the industry to share ideas and experiences. Vendors had access to hundreds of dealers and were able to share their services and educate dealers on new technology available to them.
